DESIGNER-FOR-A-DAY
INTERIOR DESIGN SESSION
$1,049   |   UP TO 5 HOURS

A Full Day of Design.
Real-Time Transformation.

During this comprehensive interior design session, your Happy Place Interiors designer becomes your dedicated design partner for the day — addressing your questions, solving challenges, and bringing clarity to every decision.

Prior to your session, you’ll complete a detailed Personal Design Profile and send photos of your home along with inspiration images that bring you joy. This allows our team to begin the creative process in advance and ensures your designer arrives fully prepared to make the most of your day.

Designer for a Day is a focused, high-impact design session for homeowners who want clear direction, real decisions, and a plan they can move forward with.

This is not a random walk-through of your home or a scattered list of ideas. We follow a thoughtful process that helps us address the biggest decisions first, then build toward the details that make your home feel cohesive, functional, and beautifully you.

We typically work through your home in three layers:

1. Core Elements + Architecture
We begin with the bigger-picture decisions that shape the home as a whole: kitchen updates, architectural details, finishes, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and other foundational elements. This is where we discuss what may need to be updated, what should stay, and what will create the strongest long-term direction for your home.

2. Furniture + Function
Next, we focus on how each space needs to work. We will discuss furniture placement, room flow, what pieces stay, what may need to be replaced, and how to make underused or challenging spaces more functional for your real life.

3. Style + Aesthetic Direction
Once the foundations and function are clear, we bring the look together. This can include paint colors, lighting, rugs, window treatments, art, décor, styling, and the overall feeling you want your home to have. We will create a clear visual direction so your decisions feel connected instead of pieced together over time.

Designer for a Day can also be used to focus deeply on one major space or project, such as a kitchen revamp, living room redesign, primary bedroom, or bathroom update. When appropriate, we may spend part of the time reviewing tile, fixtures, furnishings, or other options online—or even visit a local showroom or tile store—so you leave with a more complete plan in place.

By the end of our time together, you will have clarity around your priorities, confidence in your next steps, and a cohesive direction for moving your home forward.

Every session is customized. Some clients need big-picture direction for multiple rooms, while others want to focus deeply on one project, such as a kitchen refresh, bathroom update, or furniture plan.

At the end of our session, you will have notes that you take (feel free to record it) to reference as you move forward. Depending on the project and how we use our time, you may also receive a mood board, concept images, or select product and material links.

A detailed written design report is available for an additional fee for clients who would like their recommendations organized into a more formal document.

It was so fun learning from you! I couldn't get to sleep last night with all the new information running around my brain.

– Karen

Thank you! We learned so much from you in one visit! You are amazing! Even Ray was wondering if you would return as we were again talking about the visit this morning and how much more we need your assistance.

–Marilyn

We can't thank you enough for all the ideas and all the time you spent with us. We both thought that this was exactly what we were looking for, and have a new energy for making the improvements.

– Jenny
